We report on some attempts to use lattice QCD to investigate topics in strong interaction phenomenology which are usually interpreted in terms of soft Pomeron exchange.

I report on lattice QCD calculations that study the properties of the a0 and f0 mesons.

The paper is devoted to the calculation of additional two-loop O(αs) MSSM corrections to the relation between the pole mass of the t-quark and its running mass in the DR scheme. Firstly, a contribution from axial part of the quark self-energy, which was erroneously omitted in our earlier work, is obtained. An overview of lattice results for the strange quark mass, BK , B6, B7, and B8 is presented. I give my assessment of the reliability of various estimates and prospects for future improvements.

I review recent progress and results in lattice QCD obtained using fermions with exact chiral symmetry.

With help of brane configuration of N=2 solution, we analyze the strong coupling moduli of N=2 QCD. As a result we describe S-dual in N=2 QCD and give its curve. We also explain some relation to nonAbelian duality in N=1 QCD.

The thermal glueball is studied at finite temperature by using SU(3) anisotropic lattice QCD with βlat = 6.25, the renormalized anisotropy ξ ≡ as/at = 4 over the lattice of the size 20 × Nt with various Nt at the quenched level. We calculate the supersymmetric QCD correction to top-quark production at the Fermilab Tevatron, allowing for arbitrary left-right mixing of the squarks. We find that the correction is significant for several combinations of gluino and squark masses, e.g. +33% for m g̃ = 200 GeV, m t̃ = m q̃ = 75 GeV.
