Room temperature detection of neptunyl(VI) LMCT emission in a coordination compound and in the presence of uranyl(VI) is reported for the first time. Differences in the excitation profiles of the complexes enable spectral editing so either exclusively neptunyl(VI) or uranyl(VI) emission is observed or a sum of the two.
Abstract The nanomaterial containing amphiphile‐stabilized mononuclear Cu(II) is developed. material characterized by various spectroscopic techniques, such as X‐ray absorption spectrscopy (XAS), high‐resolution transmission electron microscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), UV‐vis, and infrared spectroscopies. Since the structural data for amphiphile‐bound center not available, a theoretic...

The photoabsorption intensities of intra-4f(N) transitions (f-f transitions) in lanthanide systems have been extensively studied with the semiempirical Judd-Ofelt theory. The oscillator strengths of most f-f transitions are insensitive to a change of surrounding environment because 4f electrons are shielded by closed-shell 5s and 5p electrons from outside. However, there are some exceptional tr...
We show that a vanadium–chromium Prussian blue analogue, which is a room-temperature moleculebased magnet, displays a fast magnetic response on a femtosecond timescale that is attributed to the super-exchange interaction between the metal ions. These dynamics are obtained from femtosecond Faraday magneto-optical (MO) measurements, performed at 50 and 300 K. Exciting at the ligand-tometal charge...
A tetravalent cerium macrocyclic complex (CeLK4) was prepared with an octadentate terephthalamide ligand comprised of hard catecholate donors and characterized in the solution state by spectrophotometric titrations and electrochemistry and in the crystal by X-ray diffraction. The solution-state studies showed that L exhibits a remarkably high affinity toward Ce4+, with log β110 = 61(2) and ΔG =...
OBJECTIVE Bloom's syndrome is an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by genomic instability and a predisposition to many cancers. Mutations of the BLM gene (encoding a BLM helicase) may form a structure of the etiology of this disease. As a global pollutant, mercury poses a major threat to human health. The current study was conducted to elucidate the effects of Hg(2+) on the structure a...
