The thermal relaxation of a dense gas described by the modified Enskog equation is studied for closed system in contact with heat bath. As case Boltzmann equation, Helmholtz free energy $ \mathcal{F} that decreases monotonically time found under conventional kinetic boundary condition satisfies Darrozes–Guiraud inequality. extension to Enskog–Vlasov also presented.

We show how to implement stick boundary conditions for a spherical colloid in a solvent that is coarse-grained by the method of stochastic rotation dynamics. This allows us to measure colloidal rotational velocity autocorrelation functions by direct computer simulation. We propose a finite-difference-based lattice Boltzmann model for dense binary mixtures based on the Enskog theory. The model is applicable to a mixture composed of two dense fluids with different shear viscosities. The macroscopic hydrodynamic and diffusion equations are derived from the model through the Chapmann-Enskog procedure. The model is also validated numerically.
