Tracheal diverticulum is a rare entity with only 79 symptomatic cases reported till date. We herein describe the case of a 38 year old male who presented with recurrent dry cough and hemoptysis and was diagnosed to have tracheal diverticulum on High Resolution Computed Tomography (HRCT) of chest. We report here a case of a 3-week-old infant with a lung disease of unknown origin who underwent diagnostic fiber-optic bronchoscopy. During the procedure, she developed unilateral pulmonary edema. Factors that contributed to this complication are discussed along with means to reduce its occurrence.
