The optical reeectance spectrum of the near-Earth asteroid 1993 VW was measured over the wavelength range 4500 { 9200 A using the 1.52 m telescope of the European Southern Observatory and a CCD spectrograph. This object, as supposed, has been found to show spectral properties resembling the rare Q taxonomic type asteroids and possibly ordinary chondrite meteorites.
