Wie Vlaanderen doorkruist ziet overal huizen en ellenlange verkavelingslinten doorheen het landschap kronkelen. Dat deze sterk versnipperde nederzettingsstructuur niet fraai oogt is alom bekend, maar de maatschappelijke kosten die hieraan vastzitten veel minder. In mijn thesis gebruikte ik monetaire van Vlaamse rioleringen om dit te duiden.

In this work, we present a Genetic A lgor i thm (GA) system "Evolu t ionary Counterpoint" (EVOC) that generates contrapuntal music. Counterpoint is the construct ion of a musical piece by superimposing mul t ip le melodies, ind i rectly fo rming an under ly ing harmonic structure.
