Green-light-emitting pyrotechnic compositions based on tris(2,2,2-trinitroethyl)borate (TNEB) and boron carbide have been investigated. The best performing formulations were found to be insensitive to various ignition stimuli, and exhibited very high spectral purities and luminosities compared to previously reported green-light-emitting formulations.

Abstract In this paper, through the research on driving mechanism and structure design of MEMS silicon-based actuator that can realize dual-environment force release function, a be released from is designed. It based mass-gear (inertial drive) centrifugal drive design. The achieve 1.5mm output displacement under control 10V DC voltage, condition not less than 5000 r/min, it safety resist overlo...
Smokes are used on the battlefield for signaling, for marking targets, and for screening troop movements. Many high-performance compositions are toxic or hazardous, while non-toxic alternatives offer sub-par performance. The environmentally benign compositions described herein use boron carbide as a pyrotechnic fuel to produce thick clouds of white smoke. Experimentation and thermodynamic model...
Potassium nitrate as oxidant is one of the main components in the some pyrotechnic compounds. This salt is the cheapest amongst the alkali nitrates and naturally available that widely used in pyrotechnic compounds of infrared, flare and delay compounds. Consequently, the investigation its thermal properties have considerable significance such as thermal stability, lifetime, enthalpy, deflagrati...
Strontium (atomic symbol Sr) is a silvery-white alkaline earth metal that exists in several stable (e.g., Sr-86 and Sr-88) and several radioactive (e.g., Sr-89 and Sr-90) isotopic states. Stable strontium and its salts have many industrial uses, such as providing the red color in pyrotechnic devices such as tracer bullets, distress signal rockets, flares, and fireworks. In medicine, strontium b...
