In this paper, and from the definition of a distance between numbers by a recurrence relation, new kinds of k–Fibonacci numbers are obtained. But these sequences differ among themselves not only by the value of the natural number k but also according to the value of a new parameter r involved in the definition of this distance. Finally, various properties of these numbers are studied.

measurement systems analysis (msa) has been applied in different aspect of industrial assessments to evaluate various types of quantitative and qualitative measures. qualification of a measurement system depends on two important features: accuracy and precision. since the capability of each quality system is severely related to the capability of its measurement system, the weakness of the two ...

This paper extends the author’s earlier work on the Law of Large Numbers for fuzzy numbers [2] to the case where the fuzzy numbers are of type L-R. Namely, we shall define a class of Archimedean triangular norms in which the equality lim n→∞ Nes(mn − ≤ ηn ≤ mn + = 1, for any > 0, holds for all sequences of fuzzy numbers, ξi = (Mi, α, β)LR, i ∈ N, with twice differentiable and concave shape func...

A fully Bayesian computing environment calls for the possibility of defining vector and array objects that may contain both random and deterministic quantities, and syntax rules that allow treating these objects much like any variables or numeric arrays. Working within the statistical package R, we introduce a new object-oriented framework based on a new random variable data type that is implic...

The R statistic, when used in a regression or ANOVA context, is appealing because it summarizes how well the model explains the data in an easy-tounderstand way. R statistics are also useful to gauge the effect of changing a model. Generalizing R to mixed models is not obvious when there are correlated errors, as might occur if data are georeferenced or result from a designed experiment with bl...
