this paper proposes a new approach for determining efficient dmus in dea models using inverse optimi-zation and without solving any lps. it is shown that how a two-phase algorithm can be applied to detect effi-cient dmus. it is important to compare computational performance of solving the simultaneous linear equa-tions with that of the lp, when computational issues and complexity analysis are a...
Sheep and goat have a great role in the economy of the pastoral communities which have inhabited in the lowland parts Ethiopia. The study was conducted in Borana low land southern Ethiopia to predict the body weight of blackhead Somali (BHS) sheep using linear body measurements under farm condition. A total of 478 heads (301 female and 177 males) were measured for linear body measurements and b...
In the simple case of one-dimension al flow between plate s, we show t he effect of Galil ean non-i nveriance of th e usual hexagonal lattice gas mode. Thi s effect leads to a distorted velocity profile when the velocity exceeds a value of 0.4. Higher-order corre ctions to the Navier-Stokes equa tions are considered in a discussion of th e num erical importance of th e distortion.
The Cauchy problem for 1-dimensional nonlinear sto-chastic partial diierential equations is studied. The uniqueness and existence of solutions in H 2 p (T)-space are proved. 1. Introduction The aim of this paper is to prove the unique solvability of the following one-dimensional nonlinear stochastic partial diierential equa-tions(SPDEs): du = a(t; x; u)u 00 + f(t; x)] dt + k (t)u 0 + g k (t; x)...
Modeling in ecol ogy or epidemiol ogy gener all y opposes tw o classes of models, Equa tion Based Models and Agent Based Models. Mathema tical models all ow predicting the longterm dynamics of the studied systems. How ever, the variability betw een individ uals is difficul t to represen t, wha t makes these more suitable models for larg e and homog eneous popula tions. Mul ti-agent models all o...
This paper presents the analysis of a mechanical and theoretical model mi-cromechanical RL-type gyroscope (MMG). The behavior resonator in free oscil-lation mode is studied by solving problem linear formulation. main part devoted to mathematical development for dual-mass MMG with disk-shaped resonator, which fixed on elastic leg movable base. important condition implies arbitrary angular veloci...
We apply and extend some well known and some recent tech niques from algebraic residue theory in order to relate to each other two major subjects of algebraic and numerical computing that is computa tions with structured matrices and solving a system of polynomial equa tions In the rst part of our paper we extend the Toeplitz and Hankel structures of matrices and some of their known properties ...
In this paper we study the parallel solution of the discrete time Lyapunov equation Two parallel ne and medium grain algorithms for solving dense and large order equa tions A X A X B B on a shared memory multiprocessor are presented They are based on Hammarling s method and directly obtain the Cholesky factor of the solution The parallel algorithms work following an antidiagonal wavefront In or...
The initial-boundary value problem for the time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau equa, tions that model the macroscopic behavior of superconductors is considered. The convergence of finite-dimensional, semidiscrete Galerkin approximations is studied as is a fully-discrete scheme. The results of some computational experiments are presented. Keywords-Superconductivity, Timedependent Ginzburg-Landau equa...
The relativistic shock layer problem was numerically analyzed by using two relativistic Boltzmannkinetic equations. One is Marle model, and the other is Anderson-Witting model. As with Marle model, the temperature of the gain term was determined from its relation with the dynamic pressure in the framework of 14-moments theory. From numerical results of the relativistic shock layer problem, beha...
