in this study, detection and identification of common faults in industrial gas turbines is investigated. we propose a model-based robust fault detection(fd) method based on multiple models. for residual generation a bank of local linear neuro-fuzzy (llnf) models is used. moreover, in fault detection step, a passive approach based on adaptive threshold is employed. to achieve this purpose, the a...

In this paper, a new algorithm has been proposed for determining accurate fault distance on multi-terminal transmission lines. This method is based on genetic algorithm, and uses synchronous data recorded at all terminals, and includes two steps. In the first step, employing a comparing method, the faulty section is identified. In the second step, precise distance of the fault is found utilizin...

many earthquakes occur in iran every year and some of these earthquakes cause loss of life and property. consequently earthquake is one of challenging topics not only in iran but also in other active tectonic regions in the world. investigating the mechanism of earthquake as a natural disaster is the first and important step. to study earthquakes, different information such as geometry and beha...

In order to diagnose transformer fault efficiently and accurately, a dynamic integrated fault diagnosis method based on Bayesian network is proposed in this paper. First, an integrated fault diagnosis model is established based on the causal relationship among abnormal working conditions, failure modes, and failure symptoms of transformers, aimed at obtaining the most possible failure mode. And...

An unknown input high gain observer based parametric fault detection and isolation scheme is presented. First, a reduced order unknown input high gain observer is derived. Then, using these observers, a fault detection and isolation technique is devised to detect and isolate the parametric fault of a system whose parameters are uncertain to some extent. The proposed FDI algorithm consists of tw...

In this paper we present a differential fault attack that can be applied to the AES using a single fault. We demonstrate that when a single random byte fault is induced at the input of the eighth round, the AES key can be deduced using a two stage algorithm. The first step has a statistical expectation of reducing the possible key hypotheses to 2, and the second step to a mere 2.

This is the second paper of two, which describe the results of an integrated research effort to develop a four–step simplifi ed approach for design of raft foundations against dip-slip (normal and thrust) fault rupture. The fi rst two steps dealing with fault rupture propagation in the free-fi eld were presented in the companion paper. This paper develops an approximate analytical method to ana...

This paper presents a new structural approach for diagnosing board interconnects using boundary-scan. While existing diagnosis approaches assume only wired-AND or wired-OR bridging fault model, we consider a more complex bridging short fault model in CMOS circuit environment. The diagnostic test set is generated based on graph theoretic technique and the adjacency fault model is adopted. Both o...

In this paper, we show a general way to interpret the infrastructure of a global field of arbitrary unit rank. This interpretation generalizes the prior concepts of the giant-step operation and f -representations, and makes it possible to relate the infrastructure to the (Arakelov) divisor class group of the global field. In the case of global function fields, we present results that establish ...
