introduction in recent years methods based on radio frequency waves have been used for detecting breast cancer. using theses waves leads to better results in early detection of breast cancer comparing with conventional mammography which has been used during several years. materials and methods in this paper, a new method is introduced for detection of backscattered signals which are received by...
In this paper, we study a generalization of z-ideals in the ring C(X) of continuous real valued functions on a completely regular Hausdorff space X. The notion of a weak ideal and naturally a weak z-ideal and a prime weak ideal are introduced and it turns out that they behave such as z-ideals in C(X).
We discuss causality properties of asymmetrically warped space-times and argue that such scenarios may allow for timelike curves which can be closed via paths in the extra-dimensional bulk. We find a metric where the null, weak and dominant energy conditions are violated in the bulk, but satisfied on the brane. Such scenarios are interesting, since in principle gravitons or gauge-singlet (“ster...
Non-statistical weak measurements yield weak values that are outside the range of eigenvalues and are not rare, suggesting that weak values are a property of every preand-post-selected ensemble. They also extend the applicability and valid regime of weak values.
We discuss Dynamical Symmetry Breaking via top condensation models and argue that phenomenologically viable scenarios are possible. First model independent symmetry and order of magnitude arguments in favor of such ideas are given. Then models which realize these features are listed with comments on their advantages and problems. Finally it is argued that scenarios with a scale of new physics =...
In this paper we examine the Cosmic No-Hair Conjecture (CNHC) in brane world scenarios. For the validity of this conjecture, in addition to the strong and weak energy conditions for the matter field, a similar type of assumption is to be made on the quadratic correction term and there is a restriction on the non-local term. It is shown by examples with realistic fluid models that strong and wea...

The linear discrepancy of a poset P is the least k such that there is a linear extension L of P such that if x and y are incomparable, then |hL(x)− hL(y)| ≤ k. Whereas the weak discrepancy is the least k such that there is a weak extension W of P such that if x and y are incomparable, then |hW (x)− hW (y)| ≤ k. This paper resolves a question of Tanenbaum, Trenk, and Fishburn on characterizing w...
The problem of collision course between a mobile robot and a moving object is modeled in polar coordinates using the kinematics equations. A model of the relative motion of the moving object as seen by the robot is then derived. This model consists of the relative velocities along and across the visibility line, and gives the range rate and the turning rate of the moving object with respect to ...
Scenario-based speciications such as message sequence charts (MSC) ooer an intuitive and visual way of describing design requirements. MSC-graphs allow convenient expression of multiple scenarios, and can be viewed as an early model of the system that can be subjected to a variety of analyses. Problems such as LTL model checking are known to be decidable for the class of bounded MSC-graphs. Our...
