New pulsation modes in two δ Scuti stars of Praesepe cluster, BQ and BW Cnc, have been detected during the STEPHI VI campaign in 1995. In particular, 3 frequencies for BQ Cnc and 9 frequencies for BW Cnc have been found above a 99% confidence level. The possibility of the presence of a g-mode present in BQ Cnc is discussed, considering its binarity. The effect of mutual interference between ver...

The frequency analysis of the line profile variations of the fast rotating (v sin i = 132 km s−1) δ Scuti star HD 101158, observed for three consecutive nights, shows the presence of two high azimuthal number non radial pulsation modes. The star is probably seen almost equator-on and both modes (νi = 12.9 c/d and ν2 = 18.5 c/d) are prograde with m = −10 and m = −14 or −15 respectively; their fr...

We present the first results of an observational project, which addresses the period changing behaviour of a sample of high-amplitude δ Scuti stars. In this paper we discuss the double-mode nature of V567 Ophiuchi. It was observed on 15 nights in two consecutive years in order to resolve the long-standing ambiguity related to its secondary period. A frequency analysis of almost 5000 individual ...

In the frame of the search for extrasolar planets and brown dwarfs around early-type stars, we present the results obtained on β Pictoris, which is surrounded by a circumstellar disk that is warped by the presence of a planet. We used 97 spectra acquired with CORALIE and 230 spectra acquired with HARPS to characterize the radial velocity behavior of β Pictoris and to infer constraints on the pr...

We present a total of 57 days of contiguous, high-cadence photometry (14 days in 2004 and 43 in 2005) of the star BD+18 4914 obtained with the MOST 1 satellite. We detect 16 frequencies down to a signal-to-noise of 3.6 (amplitude ∼ 0.5 mmag). Six of these are less than 3 cycles/day, and the other ten are between 7 and 16 cycles/day. We intrepret the low frequencies as g-mode γ Doradus-type puls...
