objective: bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells reside in bone marrow and support homing and differentiation of hematopoietic stem cells (1). this makes them an excellent instrument for regenerative treatment and co-culture with the hsc. materials and methods: in this study, k562 cell lines were treated with butyric acid(for erythroid differentiation), co-cultured with mesenchymal stem cells and ...

Acid-fast staining has been utilized in the field of medicine since late 1800s. It was, for a while, considered gold standard diagnosing leprosy and tuberculosis. Principally it uses 1 primary agent, carbol fuchsin; methylene blue as counter stain. The emergence molecular-based diagnostic tests makes some us question relevance acid-fast daily practice. This literature review aimed to revisit me...

A novel polymer modified electrode is discussed in this paper. This resulting electrode can catalyze remarkably toward the electrochemical oxidations of dopamine (DA) and ascorbic acid (AA). Moreover, it can clearly discriminate the electrochemical oxidations of DA from that of AA based on their semi-derivative voltammograms. Hence, a simultaneous determination of DA and AA based on semi-deriva...

This paper describes an Automated Visual Inspection System SIVATUN" for quality control of Tuna Meat which automate manual inspection operation. Depending on whether tuna are reared in cages or in the open sea and depending on the method of capture (electroslaughtering, shooting, etc.), differences are observed and changes take place in the organic nature of Blue Fin Tuna (Thunnus Thynnus) meat...

A solar cell was manufactured from local materials and dyed using dyes extracted different organic plants. The glass slides were coated with a nano-porous layer of Titanium Oxide infused two types acids, Nitric acid Acetic acid. Pomegranate, Hibiscus, Blackberry Blue Flowers. They then tested comparison made for the amount voltage they generate when exposed to sunlight. Hibiscus sabdariffa extr...

When trypan blue is injected intravenously, the animal appears blue within a few minutes, not only in its integument, but in the internal organs as well. 12 or more hours after the administration of the dye, there are innumerable granules within macrophages and other colloidopexic cells, easily demonstrable by ordinary histological technique. But the animal is blue long before such granules are...

We report, for the first time, an in situ formation of two-component hydrogels from pyridine derivatives of poly(aryl ether) dendrons and tartaric acid. The two-component system (dendron + acid) undergoes J-type aggregation, leading to fibrillar type self-assembly in THF-water mixture along with blue (470 nm) and green (500 nm) intrinsic emissions.

Studies of the patterns of diversification of birds on islands have contributed a great deal to the development of evolutionary theory. In white-winged fairy-wrens, Malurus leucopterus, mainland males develop a striking blue nuptial plumage whereas those on nearby islands develop black nuptial plumage. We explore the proximate basis for this divergence by combining microstructural feather analy...

This thesis evaluates the protein and amino acid requirements of the modern growing-furring blue fox (Alopex lagopus). The effects of dietary protein and the supplemented amino acids, methionine and lysine, on nitrogen (N) retention, nutrient digestibility, growth performance, health, and fur characteristics were estimated in digestibility and N balance trials and production experiments. As wel...

The effect of immobilized dye concentration on protein complexation was observed using zonal chromatography. A monomeric protein, octopine dehydrogenase, was retained by a single interaction to a Sepharose CL-6B column containing 11.6 mM immobilized Cibacron blue F3GA. By contrast, a tetrameric protein, lactate dehydrogenase, was retained by the same column by multiple interactions. The degree ...
