We present the extensions made to NEPI, the Network Experimentation Programming Interface, to allow easy creation and customization of routing overlays on top of PlanetLab. We particularly focus on demonstrating the traffic shaping capabilities provided by NEPI, with the use of customizable stream filters on PlanetLab overlays to induce controllable packet prioritization.

It is well known that the best equivariant estimator of a variance covari-ance matrix of multivariate normal distribution with respect to the full ane group of transformation is not even minimax. Some minimax estimators have been proposed. Here we treat this problem in the framework of a multivari-ate analysis of variance(MANOVA) model and give other classes of minimax estimators.

The scattering of NS ⊗ NS antisymmetric tensor states in the presence of D-instantons in type IIB superstring theory is studied. It is shown that in order to preserve gauge invari-ance, spacetime supersymmetry and picture changing symmetry the inclusion of boundary contact terms for closed string antisymmetric tensor vertex operators is necessary.
