Sufficient conditions are given for the computation of an arc that accesses a point on the boundary of an open subset of the plane from a point within the set. The existence of a not-computably-accessible but computable point on a computably compact arc is also demonstrated.

Consider a collection of possibly overlapping balls in E d. Suppose the balls are rearranged so that the distances between the centers of the balls all increase or stay the same. Kneser and Poulsen independently conjectured in the 1950’s that the volume of the union must either increase or stay the same. Csikós proved that this is true in Euclidean space under a continuous expansion, and Connel...

The aim of this paper is to define and study a class of analytic functions related to Bazilevic type functions in the open unit disc. This class is defined by using a convolution operator and the concept of bounded radius rotation of order ρ . A necessary condition, inclusion result, arc length and some other interesting properties of this class of functions are investigated.

These are normalized functions regular and univalent in E: IzI < 1, for which f( E) is starlike with respect to the origin. Let y be a circle contained in E and let [ be the center of y. The Pinchuk question is this: Iff(z) is in ST, is it true thatf(y) is a closed curve that is starlike with respect tof(i)? In Section 5 we will see that the answer is no. There seems to be no reason to demand t...
