We study possible scenarios for quantum non-demolition measurements using Bose-Einstein condensates. We report on a systematic treatment of Coulomb corrections for 3-and n-particle (Bose-Einstein) correlations, leading to a removal of a 100 % systematic error from earlier Coulomb corrections of 5-particle Bose-Einstein correlations in heavy ion collisions. These results are generalized to include strong final state interactions and core-halo effects.

The role of geometrical frustration in strongly interacting bosonic systems is studied with a combined numerical and analytical approach. We demonstrate the existence of a novel quantum phase featuring both Bose-Einstein condensation and spin-glass behavior. The differences between such a phase and the otherwise insulating "Bose glasses" are elucidated.
