A novel noble metal-free catalyst, with nitrogen-doped amorphous carbon and titanium nitride particles supported on SiC (NC-TiN/SiC), was synthesized. The NC-TiN/SiC catalyst exhibited excellent oxygen reduction reaction activities as well as superior stability and methanol tolerance. We report the synthesis of a superparamagnetic nanoparticle MNP (γ-Fe(2)O(3)/polymer) supported dendritic catalyst based on a bulky electron-rich phosphine Pd(II) complex. The high reactivity of this catalyst is described in a copper-free Sonogashira C-C cross-coupling reaction in water, and the significant role of surfactant additives is highlighted in the recovery study.
Heck reaction catalyzed by cobalt hollow nanospheres has been developed; the coupling of alkenes with aryl iodide or aryl bromide in the presence of potassium carbonate provides the corresponding products with moderate to good yields, which reveals obvious advantages such as low-cost catalyst, ligand-free condition, the recyclability of the catalyst and simple experimental operation.
