In this letter, an efficient approach for the evaluation of the Nakagamimultivariate probability density function (pdf) and cumulative distribution function (cdf) with arbitrary correlation is presented. Approximating the correlation matrix with a Green’s matrix, useful closed formulas for the joint Nakagamipdf and cdf, are derived. The proposed approach is a significant theoretical tool that c...

We combine searches by the CDF and D0 Collaborations for a Higgs boson decaying to W+W-. The data correspond to an integrated total luminosity of 4.8 (CDF) and 5.4 (D0) fb(-1) of pp collisions at square root(s) = 1.96 TeV at the Fermilab Tevatron collider. No excess is observed above background expectation, and resulting limits on Higgs boson production exclude a standard model Higgs boson in t...

Abstract Cow dung waste has caused severe environmental pollution and public health issues in China. In this study, the cow residues were used as a cheap renewable fiber to modify asphalt binder, providing new solution for proper disposal of waste. Three fibers with two lengths prepared using different treatments, including original (CDF), surface treatments (STCDF) alkali (ATCDF). The physicoc...

Changes in activity-dependent calcium flux through voltage-gated calcium channels (CaVs) drive two self-regulatory calciumdependent feedback processes that require interaction between Ca2+/calmodulin (Ca2+/CaM) and a CaV channel consensus isoleucine-glutamine (IQ) motif: calcium-dependent inactivation (CDI) and calcium-dependent facilitation (CDF). Here, we report the high-resolution structure ...

Subpicosecond pulse spectral compression without the limitation of the adiabatic soliton transform status in a comb-like distributed fiber (CDF) is proposed and numerically demonstrated. The principle of spectral compression in a single concatenation of single-mode fiber and high nonlinear fiber is theoretically analyzed and numerically proved. A three-stage CDF is designed and simulated follow...

This paper presents analytical solutions for the performance of a single relay aided amplify-and-forward (AF) direct sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) system over Rayleigh/Nakagami-m fading channels. The source-destination channel is assumed to be Rayleigh distributed while relay-destination link is Nakagami-m distributed. First, a cumulative distribution function (CDF) is derive...

Cation diffusion facilitators (CDF) are part of a highly conserved protein family that maintains cellular divalent cation homeostasis in all domains of life. CDF's were shown to be involved in several human diseases, such as Type-II diabetes and neurodegenerative diseases. In this work, we employed a multi-disciplinary approach to study the activation mechanism of the CDF protein family. For th...

The Cox-Ingersoll-Ross model (CIR model) [2] has been a benchmark in finance for many years because of its analytical and structural tractability. The wide applications and extensions of the CIR model requires to evaluate the cumulative distribution function (CDF) of the integrated CIR process in financial modelling. As in many situations the characteristic function of the integrated CIR proces...
