We present a near-optimal quantum dynamical decoupling scheme that eliminates general decoherence of a qubit to order n using O(n2) pulses, an exponential decrease in pulses over all previous decoupling methods. BIRD's eye view: Adding periodic BIRD J-refocusing (BIRD=bilinear rotation decoupling) to data acquisition in an HSQC experiment causes broadband homonuclear decoupling, giving a single signal for each proton chemical shift. We extend the KKLT [1] approach to moduli stabilization by including the dilaton and the complex structure moduli into the effective supergravity theory. We study block decoupling of linear multivariable systems under unity-feedback configuration. We consider plants which have unstable pole-zero coincidences and give necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of the block decoupling controllers.
