conclusions a significant association was found between ages of women with their delays in consultation. delay is still prevalent amongst women with breast cancer. it seems necessary to design educating programs for women in both clinical and community settings, about breast cancer and early detection practices. results the mean age of women was 46.99 years. 38.4% of women were ≤ 40 years. 61% ...

A semi-empirical mathematical model for predicting the physical part of ignition delay period in the combustion of diesel engines with swirl is developed. This model is based on a single droplet evaporation model. The governing equations, namely, equations of droplet motion, heat and mass transfer were solved simultaneously using a Runge-Kutta step by step method. The computation was executed u...

this paper focuses on the non-fragile guaranteed cost control problem for a class of t-s fuzzy time-varying delay systems with local bilinear models. the objective is to design a non-fragile guaranteed cost state feedback controller via the parallel distributed compensation (pdc) approach such that the closed-loop system is delay-dependent asymptotically stable and the closed-loop performance i...

Due to widespread use of Global Positioning System (GPS) in different applications, the issue of GPS signal interference cancelation is becoming an increasing concern. One of the most important intentional interferences is spoofing signals. An effective interference (delay spoof) reduction method based on adaptive filtering is developed in this paper. The principle of method is using adaptive f...

The objective of the paper is to overcome the conventional restriction to the field of rational functions in the algebraic design of control systems. By combining a shift of the undesirable poles to the left with an extension of an inverse-based affine parameterization approach, an algebraic solution to time-delay system stabilization and control is opened for plants and controllers modeled by ...

this article proposes a direct method for solving three types of integral equations with time delay. by using operational matrix of integration, integral equations can be reduced to a linear lower triangular system which can be directly solved by forward substitution. numerical examples shows that the proposed scheme have a suitable degree of accuracy.

Necessary and sufficient geometric conditions for the equivalence of a nonlinear time– delay system with one output, under bicausal change of coordinates and output transformation, to a linear weakly observable time–delay system up to output injection are given. These conditions are derived through the use of the Extended Lie Bracket operator recently introduced in the literature for dealing wi...

This paper concerns the global dynamics of a certain “dual” network congestion control, for which the feedback signal measures a queueing delay at congested links. Earlier studies of this kind of protocol have shown attractive properties of local stability scalable to arbitrary networks, and also global stability results under more restrictive assumptions. All of these have, however, relied on ...

Quality of Service (QoS) refers to a set of rules or techniques that help the network administrators use the available network resources optimally to manage the effects of congestion and to treat the applications according to their needs. The differentiated services architecture (DiffServ) allows providing quality of service to users. The major DiffServ premise is that individual flows with sim...
