We consider the set of Gibbs measures relative to Brownian motion for given potential V . V is assumed to be Kato-decomposable but general otherwise. A Gibbs measure for such a potential is in many cases given by a reversible Itô diffusion μ. We show that if V is growing at infinity faster than quadratically and in a sufficiently regular way, then μ is the only Gibbs measure that exists. For ge...

because of high strength to weight ratio, 6061 aluminum has many applications in different industries like automotive and aerospace industries and can help to reduction of fuel consumption. forming limit diagram (fld) is a useful method for sheet metal formability identification. whereas calculation of forming limit diagram by experimental tests is expensive and time consumption, in the present...

The problems of estimating certain infini te-dimensional unlmown parameters (such as interaction potentials, local characteristics, etc.) for Gibbs states are considered in this paper. We describe the construction of consistent estimators for one-dimensional Gibbs states and discuss the possibility of extending these results to multi-dimensional Gibbs states.

An approach to digital image processing and analysis based on the Gibbs distribution is considered. Gibbs hierarchical models are used in segmentation of texture images, reconstruction of gray-scale and color images corrupted by nonlinear and linear inhomogeneous distortions, and estimation of the parameters of Gibbs models from observed images. We show that if b and b' are two boundary conditions (b.c.) for general spin systems on Z a such that the difference in the energies of a spin configuration ~A in A c Za is uniformly bounded, [HA.~(ga) -Ha,b'(aA)[ ~< C < 0% then any infinite-volume Gibbs states p and p' obtained with these b.c. have the same measure-zero sets. This implies that the decompositions of p and p" into extremal Gibbs...

We consider a binary probit model where the latent variable follow a Gaussian Markov Random Field (GMRF). Our main objective is to derive an efficient Gibbs sampler for the above model. For this purpose, we first review two Gibbs samplers available for the classical probit model with one latent variable. We find that the joint update of variables increases the rate of convergence. We use these ...

For systems of particles in classical phase space with standard Hamiltonian, we consider (spatially averaged) microcanonical Gibbs distributions in finite boxes. We show that infinite-volume limits along suitable subsequences exist and are grand canonical Gibbs measures. On the way, we establish a variational formula for the thermodynamic entropy density, as well as a variational characterizati...

the thermodynamic functions such as enthalpy (h), gibbs free energy (g) and entropy (s) of serineand threonine amino acids were theoretically studied at different condition (solvents andtemperatures) by using gussian o3, software. first, the structural optimization of isolated serine andthreonine were done in the gas phase by using the hartree-fock (hf) level of theory with 3-21g, 6-31g and 6-3...

Gibbs sampling is a Markov chain Monte Carlo technique commonly used for estimating marginal distributions. To speed up Gibbs sampling, there has recently been interest in parallelizing it by executing asynchronously. While empirical results suggest that many models can be efficiently sampled asynchronously, traditional Markov chain analysis does not apply to the asynchronous case, and thus asy...

In this brief note, we compare two frameworks for characterizing possible operations in quantum thermodynamics. One framework considers Thermal Operations—unitaries which conserve energy. The other framework considers all maps which preserve the Gibbs state at a given temperature. Thermal Operations preserve the Gibbs state; hence a natural question which arises is whether the two frameworks ar...
