In forest carbon accounting and policy assessment at the micro level, inconsistencies, even confusion, abound regarding how timber are treated as joint products, whether Paris Agreement principles of additionality permanence followed, if differentiated composition duration harvested wood products (HWPs) captured. Here, we tackle these issues with two widely used alternative analytic frameworks....
The local limit theorem describes how the density of a sum of random variables follows the normal curve. However the local limit theorem is often seen as a curiosity of no particular importance when compared with the central limit theorem. Nevertheless the local limit theorem came first and is in fact associated with the foundation of probability theory by Blaise Pascal and Pierre de Fer...
this thesis basically deals with the well-known notion of the bear-invariant of groups, which is the generalization of the schur multiplier of groups. in chapter two, section 2.1, we present an explicit formula for the bear-invariant of a direct product of cyclic groups with respect to nc, c>1. also in section 2.2, we caculate the baer-invatiant of a nilpotent product of cyclic groups wuth resp...
A general relation between the group delay and the dwell time is derived for quantum tunneling. It is shown that the group delay is equal to the dwell time plus a self-interference delay. The Hartman effect in quantum tunneling is explained on the basis of saturation of the integrated probability density (or number of particles) under the barrier.
We establish Hartman-Wintner type criteria for the half-linear second order differential equation ( r(t)Φ(x′) )′ + c(t)Φ(x) = 0, Φ(x) = |x|x, p > 1, where this equation is viewed as a perturbation of another equation of the same form.
The second order linear differential equation (p(x)y′)′ + q(x)y = 0 , x ∈ (0, x0] is considered, where p, q ∈ C1(0, x0], p(x) > 0, q(x) > 0 for x ∈ (0, x0]. Sufficient conditions are established for every nontrivial solutions to be nonrectifiable oscillatory near x = 0 without the Hartman–Wintner condition.

This paper reports the implementation results of a traffic simulation model based on head leading algorithm. The concept of this algorithm together with a raw model description was presented at ESS2004 last year. The implementation work is currently the main effort. The work is a collaboration together with the city of Pilsen on a complex system that should be able to simulate any part of the c...
In this Roentgen centennial year, honoring the epochal discovery of the X-ray in 1895 [2], it is particularly appropriate to reflect on the circumstances of creativity that lead to important discoveries in science. In radiolc , as in gen. . . . ne and surgery, histories of the development of the discipline have generally presented a chronicle of sequential events without specific consideration ...
