BACKGROUND Electrical Impedance Tomography (EIT) is used as a fast clinical imaging technique for monitoring the health of the human organs such as lungs, heart, brain and breast. Each practical EIT reconstruction algorithm should be efficient enough in terms of convergence rate, and accuracy. The main objective of this study is to investigate the feasibility of precise empirical conductivity i...
Restoration of images that have been blurred by the effects of a Gaussian blurring function is an ill-posed but well-studied problem. Any blur that is spatially invariant can be expressed as a convolution kernel in an integral equation. Fast and effective algorithms then exist for determining the original image by preconditioned iterative methods. If the blurring function is spatially variant, ...
This work addresses the numerical solution of time-domain boundary integral equations arising from acoustic and electromagnetic scattering in three dimensions. The semidiscretization of the time-domain boundary integral equations by Runge-Kutta convolution quadrature leads to a lower triangular Toeplitz system of size N . This system can be solved recursively in an almost linear time (O(N logN)...
Graphs are a widely used and understood visualization. However, they quickly break down when the visualized data is quite complex, requiring hundreds or thousands of graphs. Our Histographs system builds on the techniques introduced with Information Murals [7] to enable meaningful visualization of such data. Histographs map the frequency of data elements at each display location to luminance, r...
Flow visualization has been a very attractive part of visualization research for a long time. Usually very large datasets need to be processed, which often consist of multivariate data with a large number of sample locations, often arranged in multiple time steps. Recently, the steadily increasing performance of computers again has become a driving factor for a reemergence in flow visualization...
Flow visualisation has already been a very attractive part of visualisation research for a long time. Usually very large data sets need to be processed, which often consist of multivariate data with a large number of sample locations, often arranged in multiple time steps. Recently, the steadily increasing performance of computers again has become a driving factor for a new boom in flow visuali...
We develop a formalism to carry out coarse-grainings by using a timedependent projection operator in Heisenberg picture. A systematic perturbative expansion with respect to the interaction part of the Hamiltonian is given and the Langevin-type equation without a time-convolution integral term is obtained. This method is applied to a quantum field theoretical model and a coupled transport equati...
Using the linear operator Iλ, μ (λ > −1, μ > 0), we introduce and study a new class Q(λ, μ, α, φ) of analytic functions. We derive inclusion relationship and integral representation. We also show that this class is closed under convolution with a convex function. Some applications of this theorem are also discussed. 2000 Mathematics Subject Classification: 30C45, 30C50.
ACTA UNIVERSITATIS APULENSIS No 20/2009 CERTAIN CLASSES OF ANALYTIC FUNCTIONS DEFINED BY CONVOLUTION
Making use of a convolution structure, we introduce a new class of analytic functions defined in the open unit disc and investigate coefficient estimates, distortion bounds and the results on integral transform. Further we investigate the neighbourhood results and partial sums. 2000 Mathematics Subject Classification: 30C45.
