Lipoma is a common benign tumor affecting the soft tissues arising in every location where fat is normally present. About 15% of lipomas occur in head and neck region. The lipoma of parotid gland is a rare entity, comprising 0.6% 4.4% of all parotid tumors. The etiology remains unclear.
