Due to fast growth of portable devices, power consumption and timing delays are the two important design parameters in high speed and low power VLSI design arena. In this paper we presents the comparison of single edge triggered static D flip-flop designs to show the benefit of power consumption ,delay and power delay product on the basis of area efficiency.

Two novel low-power 1-bit Full Adder cells are proposed in this paper. Both of them are based on majority-not gates, which are designed with new methods in each cell. The first cell is only composed of input capacitors and CMOS inverters, and the second one also takes advantage of a high-performance CMOS bridge circuit. These kinds of designs enjoy low power consumption, a high degree of regula...

A high accurate and low-voltage analog CMOS current divider which operates with a single power supply voltage is designed in 0.18µm CMOS standard technology. The proposed divider uses a differential amplifier and transistor in triode region in order to perform the division. The proposed divider is modeled with neural network while TLBO algorithm is used to optimize it. The proposed optimiza...

In this paper, we propose a low-power adaptive low-density parity check (LDPC) decoder that utilizes dynamic voltage and frequency scaling to reduce power consumption. Most existing adaptive LDPC decoders have focused only on the decoding performance based on the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) estimation. However, significant idle power is consumed when the decoder awaits the next frame after proc...

external root resorption may be an uncontrolled phenomenon, and the most known interventions have no effect. even progressive external root resorption may not be controlled by long term ca(oh)2 therapy. currently, there are no treatment options for vital tooth that suffer from root resorption. this invasive resorption can lead to extraction of the tooth. the use of new technologies such as low ...

This paper presents radio-frequency (RF) microsystems (MSTs) composed by low-power devices for use in wireless sensors networks (WSNs). The RF CMOS transceiver is the main electronic system and its power consumption is a critical issue. Two RF CMOS transceivers with low-power and low-voltage supply were fabricated to operate in the 2.4 and 5.7GHz ISM bands. The measurements made in the RF CMOS ...

This paper presents an all-digital low-power oscillator for reference clocks in wireless body area network (WBAN) applications. The proposed on-chip complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) oscillator provides low-frequency clock signals with low power consumption, high delay resolution, and low circuit complexity. The cascade-stage structure of the proposed design simultaneously achieves...

This paper presents low power operation of barrel shifter and rotator which are designed and simulated in 2 phase clocked adiabatic static CMOS logic. The power consumption of the circuits is compared with that of static CMOS logic. A barrel logic right shifter, a right rotator and shift/rotator are simulated in 45nm CMOS process technology. A mux based design is used for all the above circuits...

Power reduction is one of the main reasons for designing asynchronous circuits. Asynchronous circuits are inherently capable of having low power consumption. In this paper, we introduce five methods to achieve even lower power consumption. We have applied these methods to some sample circuits and the experimental results show that power reduction of 20% to 41% is obtainable.
