We report here a patient with mucosa associated lymphoid tissue (MALT)-lymphoma of the breast complicated with Sjögren syndrome. It is speculated that Ga-67 could accumulate not only in lymphoma lesions but also in benign lymphoproliferative locations of Sjögren syndrome. Gallium-67 scintigraphy might be useful for the diagnosis and therapeutic monitoring of MALT-lymphoma complicated with Sjögr...

Primary malignant lymphoma of the trachea is rare. The case history is presented of a 44 year old woman with a mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma of the trachea who was treated with a tracheal resection and reconstruction. The patient has been free from the disease for 53 months, which confirms the favourable prognosis of MALT lymphoma following local treatment.

We describe a low-grade, MALT-lymphoma with multiple, unusually large opacities involving both the lungs in a woman suffering from myasthenia gravis. Unlike other autoimmune diseases, myasthenia gravis has never been associated with MALT-lymphoma thus far. After cyclophosphamide treatment, a complete detersion of the pulmonary opacities was obtained.

We describe a 10 yr follow-up of a patient with a primary malignant non-Hodgkin's lymphoma of the lung, arising in mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT). Although the patient was not treated with chemotherapy or radiotherapy, no peripheral spread occurred, confirming that MALT-associated lymphomas apparently remain localized until late in the course of the disease.

Most of the published complete genome sequences of Helicobacter pylori strains are limited to clinical isolates associated with gastritis, peptic ulcers, or gastric cancer. The genome sequences of three H. pylori strains isolated from patients with gastric mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma are presented here to facilitate studies of H. pylori-associated MALT lymphomagenesis.

Synchronous malignant mucosa associated lymphoid tissue MALT-lymphoma of the small bowel and adenocarcinoma of the colon in the same patient is a scarce rarity. Only few cases have been reported so far. Thus, it might be of interest to report such a case of coexisting malignant MALT-lymphoma of the duodenum and adenocarcinoma of the large bowel.

PURPOSE FOXP3+ regulatory T cells (Treg) play an essential role in modulating host responses to tumors and infections. The role of these cells in the pathogenesis of MALT lymphomas remains unknown. The aims of the study were to quantify the number of infiltrating FOXP3+ and CD3+ cells in patients with gastric MALT lymphoma at diagnosis and to study kinetics of these cells and CD20+ tumor cells ...

A field experiment was conducted during 2006-07 and 2007-08 at Ludhiana to study the effect of different agronomic practices on growth, grain yield, malt yield and losses of malt barley (Hordeum vulgare L.).The study revealed that plant height, dry matter accumulation, grain and straw yield were statistically at par with different method of sowing during both the years. Similar trend was also o...

OHLSSON [1926; 1930] concluded from experiments on the action of the "dextrinogenamylase" and "saccharogenamylase" of malt on starch that the former enzyme breaks starch into progressively smaller molecules until maltose is produced, whereas the latter enzyme detaches maltose molecules successively from the starch. This conclusion was based mainly on the relative permanence of the starch-iodine...

BACKGROUND Gastric carcinoma and primary gastric lymphoma (PGL) are the two most common malignancies in stomach. The purpose of this study was to screen and validate a biomarker of (18)F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography ((18)F-FDG PET/CT) for distinguishing advanced gastric carcinoma (AGC) from PGL for clinical applications. METHODOLOGY/PRINCIPAL FINDINGS We...
