This paper presents four main features of the ExATOlp software tool. These features provide the following language resources: corpus relevant terms and their morpho-syntactic and frequency features; concordancer (terms contexts); concept tags; and concept hierarchies. The emphasis of the tool relies on the high quality of extracted terms. The provided resources offer a concise representation of...

We investigate the relationship between prosodic phrase boundaries in terms of pausing and the linguistic structure on morpho-syntactic and discourse levels in spontaneous dialogues as well as in read aloud speech in Swedish. Both the speakers’ production and the listeners’ perception of pausing are considered and mapped to the linguistic structure.

An abundant female population of a criconematid species identified as Mesocriconema kirjanovae (Andr ssy, 1962) Loof &De Grisse, 1989 is reported from a natural habitat in southeastern Spain. Measurements and morpho-anatomy obtained with light microscopy and scanning electron microscopy are included and compared with previous data on this species.

Using morpho-logics we show how to find explanations of observations, how to perform revision, contraction, fusion, in an unified way. In the framework of abduction, we show how to deal with observations inconsistent with the background theory and introduce methods to treat multiple observations. Based on these ideas we introduce a dynamics for transforming the background theory in function of ...

In this paper, we present a rule-based relation extraction approach which uses DBpedia and linguistic information provided by the syntactic parser Fips. Our goal is twofold: (i) the morpho-syntactic patterns are defined using the syntactic parser Fips to identify relations between named entities (ii) the RDF triples extracted from DBpedia are used to improve RE task by creating gazetteer relati...

We propose in this paper a new contribution to the evaluation of linguistic difficulty. At the opposite of classical approaches relying on syntax, we show that a probabilistic morpho-syntactic analysis provides information enough to calculate different parameters, including surprisal. This method constitutes an original and robust model to linguistic complexity. It constitutes a solution toward...

We present the CimS submissions to the 2014 Shared Task for the language pair EN→DE. We address the major problems that arise when translating into German: complex nominal and verbal morphology, productive compounding and flexible word ordering. Our morphologyaware translation systems handle word formation issues on different levels of morpho-syntactic modeling.

Abstract We analyzed two morpho-species, Astyanax aeneus and caballeroi , coexisting in Lake Catemaco, with ecological differences previously associated different trophic niches. While A. is a widely distributed species, endemic to Catemaco. Due the contrasting morphology between these sympatric they were originally assigned genera, but little known about their genetic differentiation. hypothes...

Examination of the metafemoral spring in a variety of Neotropical genera was undertaken th order to further the study of this internal generic level charac ter and to relate some Neotropical genera to the previously established metafemoral spring morpho-groups of Palearctic and Nearctic genera. Although this study concerns only a portion 91 of the more than 220 genera of Neotropical Alticinae, ...

This paper describes an algorithm for Spanish derivational morphology whose output is generalizable to two different lexicon acquisition situations. One is the process of automatic lexicon acquisition via the use of Morpho-Semantic Lexical Rules (MSLRs), (Viegas, Gonzalez, & Longwell 1996) usable in semantically based Natural Language Processing(Nirenburg, et al 1996) in order to considerably r...
