Using a vernacular adaptation of MAS 50 bronchial asthma patients were compared with 102 normals, 60 hospital general out-patients and 50 neurotics to determine the level of anxiety in asthma. The manifest anxiety scores of the bronchial asthma patients were found to be significantly high showing that their level of anxiety was abnormally higher in comparison with that of the normals and the ho...
purpose: to assess orbital color doppler ultrasonography (cdu) parameters of patients with manifest hyperopia in comparison to the emmetropes methods: forty eyes of 40 patients presenting with manifest hyperopia were included into the study. forty eyes of 40 emmetropes healthy volunteers also were examined as the control group. we have evaluated ophthalmic artery (oa), central retinal artery (c...
A centerpiece of Dynamical Systems is comparison by an equivalence relationship called topological conjugacy. Current state of the field is that, generally, there is no easy way to determine if two systems are conjugate or to explicitly find the conjugacy between systems that are known to be equivalent. We present a new and highly generalizable method to produce conjugacy functions based on a f...
This manuscript embeds the author's firsthand experiences with pediatric occupational therapy with her expertise as a developmental psychologist interested in families and their collaborations with service professionals. The author's own experiences are used to illustrate points made in literature regarding parent-professional collaborations, as well as points made in interviews of other parent...
We study the conjugacy between two dynamical systems. We consider the case when one system is perturbed via an additive noise term. We lay down the rigorous notion of the commuter in such a setting and investigate its convergence properties. To aid our analysis we make extensive use of transfer operator methods. We also use the so called random operators from probabilistic functional analysis.
MUTATIONS are changes to hereditary material (DNA or RNA) that arise either by an error in replication, or an error in a repair process. In molecular evolution (and population genetics) we are interested in the mechanisms of mutation as it is the ultimate source of novel genetic variation. The scale of the change in DNA or RNA is hugely variable, it can be at an individual nucleotide, at the le...
Correctly synchronizing the parallel execution of tasks remains one of the most difficult aspects of parallel programming. Without proper synchronization, many kinds of subtle concurrency errors can arise and cause a program to produce intermittently wrong results. The long-term goal of this work is to design a system that automatically synchronizes a set of programmer-specified, partiallyindep...
