Since MV-algebras include, in an essential way, infinitisimals it was felt that a systematic study of relationships of nonstandard methods and MV-algebras was needed. In this paper we try to introduce some basic frameworks to study MV-algebras from a nonstandard point of view. Also one can see that for a complete study of MV-algebras many external objects need to be treated differently.

The nonstandard picture of a turbulent field is presented in the article. By the concepts of nonstandard mathematics, the picture describes the hierarchical structure of turbulence and shows the mechanism of fluctuation appearing in a turbulence. The uncertainty of measurement is pointed out. And the fundamental equations of turbulence are given too. It is natural in this picture that the reaso...

This paper mainly considers a nonstandard risk model with a constant interest rate‎, ‎where both the claim sizes and the inter-arrival times follow some certain dependence structures‎. ‎When the claim sizes are dominatedly varying-tailed‎, ‎asymptotics for the infinite time ruin probability of the above dependent risk model have been given‎.

In this paper, the reorganization of the denominator of the discrete derivative and nonlocal approximation of nonlinear terms are used in the design of nonstandard finite difference schemes (NSFDs). Numerical examples confirming then efficiency of schemes, for some differential equations are provided. In order to illustrate the accuracy of the new NSFDs, the numerical results are compared with ...

classical explicit finite difference schemes are unsuitable for the solution of the famous black-scholes partial differential equation, since they impose severe restrictions on the time step. furthermore, they may produce spurious oscillations in the solution. we propose a new scheme that is free of spurious oscillations and guarantees the positivity of the solution for arbitrary stepsizes. the...

This paper examines the associations between maternal nonstandard work schedules during infancy and children's early behavior problems, and the extent to which infant temperament may moderate these associations. Hypothesized associations were tested using data from the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) Study of Early Child Care (Phase I). Analyses focused on mothe...

In this paper, we review various properties of the supersymmetric Two Boson (sTB) system. We discuss the equation and its nonstandard Lax representation. We construct the local conserved charges as well as the Hamiltoniam structures of the system. We show how this system leads to various other known supersymmetric integrable models under appropriate field redefinition. We discuss the sTB and th...

In nonstandard mathematics, the predicate ‘x is standard’ is fundamental. Recently, ‘relative’ or ‘stratified’ nonstandard theories have been developed in which this predicate is replaced with ‘x is y-standard’. Thus, objects are not (non)standard in an absolute sense, but (non)standard relative to other objects and there is a whole stratified universe of ‘levels’ or ‘degrees’ of standardness. ...

Confidence intervals are commonly used to describe parameter uncertainty. In nonstandard problems, however, their frequentist coverage property does not guarantee that they do so in a reasonable fashion. For instance, confidence intervals may be empty or extremely short with positive probability, even if they are based on inverting powerful tests. We apply a betting framework and a notion of be...
