In this work, we measure the properties of ensembles rubidium atoms trapped in solid neon that are relevant for use as quantum sensors magnetic fields: spin coherence and ability to optically control their state. We an AC magnetometer (by employing appropriate dynamical decoupling sequence) demonstrate NMR detection Ne-21 co-trapped matrix.
