during the past decade, polymer nanocomposites have emerged relatively as a new and rapidly developing class of composite materials and attracted considerable investment in research and development worldwide.direct machining of polymers can be an option for personalized products and for manufacturing product samples. to obtain high quality products and reduce machining costs, it is very importa...

[1] Climate dynamics during the marine isotope stage (MIS) 11 interglacial may provide information about how the climate system will evolve under the conditions of low‐amplitude orbital forcing that are also found during the late Holocene. New stable isotope and alkenone data are presented from southeast Atlantic Ocean Drilling Program Site 1085, providing detailed information on interglacial c...

We present a new approach to mixed H2/H∞ output feedback control synthesis. Our method uses non-smooth mathematical programming techniques to compute locally optimal H2/H∞-controllers, which may have a pre-defined structure. We prove global convergence of our method and present numerical tests to validate it numerically.

This paper employs a Markov model to study the relative performance of binary and Gray coding in the univariate marginal distribution algorithm, genetic algorithm, and stochastic hillclimbing. The results indicate that while there is little difference between the two for all possible functions, Gray coding does not necessarily improve performance for functions which have fewer local optima in t...

This paper employs a Markov model to study the relative performance of binary and Gray coding in genetic algorithms. The results indicate that while there is little difference between the two for all possible functions, Gray coding does not necessarily improve performance for functions which have fewer local optima in the Gray representation than in binary.
