We propose a new parametric model for continuous data, a “g-model”, on the basis of gradient maps of convex functions. It is known that any multivariate probability density on the Euclidean space is uniquely transformed to any other density by using the gradient map of a convex function. Therefore the statistical modeling for quantitative data is equivalent to design of the gradient maps. The e...

The purpose of the study was to find out whether the conceptual connection of emotion and motion is holding in the domain of personality traits. In a quantitative study 40 Estonian terms of personality traits were investigated and a conclusion was driven that, indeed, the qualities of emotionality and motion are perceived as co-present characteristics. In further data analysis some visualized m...

‎Let $R$ be a ring‎ ‎with the Jacobson radical $J(R)$ and let $picolon Rto R/J(R)$ be‎ the canonical map‎. ‎Then $pi$ induces an order preserving group homomorphism‎ ‎$K_0picolon K_0(R)to K_0(R/J(R))$ and an‎ ‎affine continuous map $S(K_0pi)$ between the state space $St(R/J(R))$ and the‎ ‎state space $St(R).$‎ ‎In this paper‎, ‎we consider the natural affine map $S(K_0pi).$ We give a condition ...

the dynamical behavior of a map on the unit interval has been the subject of much contemporary research. in this paper, we will consider the relation between the continuity of the map cof and cof for some positive integer k, where f is a continuous map from the unit interval to itself, and ?f is a function which takes any element of the unit interval to the set of all subsequential limits of th...

For a random walk on finitely generated group G we obtain generalization of classical inequality Ancona. We deduce as corollary that the identity map extends to continuous equivariant surjection from Martin boundary Floyd boundary, with preimages conical points being singletons. This provides new results for compactifications relatively hyperbolic groups.

For the Fr'{e}chet algebras $(A, (p_k))$ and $(B, (q_k))$ and $n in mathbb{N}$, $ngeq 2$, a linear map $T:A rightarrow B$ is called textit{almost $n$-multiplicative}, with respect to $(p_k)$ and $(q_k)$, if there exists $varepsilongeq 0$ such that$$q_k(Ta_1a_2cdots a_n-Ta_1Ta_2cdots Ta_n)leq varepsilon p_k(a_1) p_k(a_2)cdots p_k(a_n),$$for each $kin mathbb{N}$ and $a_1, a_2, ldots, a_nin A$. This study reports about the effects of three concept-mapping techniques on promoting students’ learning processes in the field of business sciences: expert map, fill-in-the-map and construct-a-map. The three techniques were used complementary to a management game and they differ in the degree of self-construction. Twenty-six ninth-grade students at a public high school took part in the study. ...

In this paper x, a denote real numbers and p, q denote points of E2 T. The following propositions are true: (1) If |x| < a, then −a < x and x < a. (2) If a 0 and (x− a) · (x + a) < 0, then −a < x and x < a. (3) For every real number s1 such that −1 < s1 and s1 < 1 holds 1 + s1 > 0 and 1− s1 > 0. (4) For every real number a such that a2 ¬ 1 holds −1 ¬ a and a ¬ 1. (5) For every real number a s...

information from multidimensional primary signals, and to represent it as a location, say, in a two-dimensional network. Although this i s already a step towards generalization and symbolism, it must be admitted that the extraction of features from geometrically or physically relatable data elements i s still a very concrete task, in principle at least. Theoperation of the brain at the higher l...
