A murine monoclonal antibody, 1C5, was produced by fusion of spleen cells obtained from mice immunized with CAC-1, a human cell line of adenocarcinoma derived from uterine cervix, and NS/1 myeloma cells. 1C5 can be used for the staining of routine formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded tissue sections. 1C5-defined antigen was found to have a molecular weight of 26,000. The 1C5-defined antigen was...
up almost 20% of all ovarian neoplasms. Although they are almost always benign tumors, the rare development of cancer deserves emphasis. The profiles of prostanoid biosynthesis from endogenous arachidonic acid in 16 established cell lines derived from 4 histological classes of human carcinomas were determined by capillary gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Detectable quantities of prostanoids were isolated from the culture medium of cell lines representative of the different histological classes of human tumors: colorectal ad...

Adenocarcinoma of the endometrium is a rare condition in women under 40 years of age. However, patients with anovulatory polycystic ovarian syndrome are at risk of developing endometrial carcinoma due to the unopposed and prolonged effect of oestrogen on the endometrium. This case report discusses the dilemma of various treatment options for early disease in such patients.
