The dynamics ofthe so-called wobblers, i.e. 4it-kinks ofthe double sine-Gordon equation with excited internal oscillations, is studied. The rate of energy emission from a weakly excited wobbler is calculated. Then scattering of a wobbler by a localized inhomogeneity is considered and it is demonstrated that in the first approximation it results in the change ofthe wobbler’s velocity only if the...

In the framework of the Sine-Gordon (SG) theory we will present the construction of a dynamical Virasoro symmetry which has nothing to do with the space-time Virasoro symmetry of 2D CFT. Although, it is non-local in the SG field theory, nevertheless it gives rise to a local action on specific N-soliton solution variables. These analytic variables possess a beautiful geometrical meaning and ente...

We develop an alternative approach to study the effect of the generic perturbation (in addition to explicitly considering the loss term) in the nonlinear Klein-Gordon equations. By a change of the variables that cancel the dissipation term we are able to write the Lagrangian density and then, calculate the Lagrangian as a function of collective variables. We use the Lagrangian formalism togethe...

We study the noncommutative generalization of (euclidean) integrable models in two-dimensions, specifically the sine-and sinh-Gordon and the U (N) principal chiral models. By looking at tree-level amplitudes for the sinh-Gordon model we show that its na¨ıve noncommutative generalization is not integrable. On the other hand, the addition of extra constraints, obtained through the generalization ...

We discuss an application of the method of the angular quantization to reconstruction of form-factors of local fields in massive integrable models. The general formalism is illustrated with examples of the Klein-Gordon, sinh-Gordon and Bullough-Dodd models. For the latter two models the angular quantization approach makes it possible to obtain free field representations for form-factors of expo...

In this paper we present numerical solutions by the fourth order implicit finite difference scheme to nonlinear Klein-Gordon-Schrödinger equations with a perturbed term. We discuss the accuracy and stability of the scheme. Numerical tests are used to assess the performance of the scheme.

Much has been written and spoken in tribute to Sir Gordon Arthur Ransome (G.A. R. to those who know him well) ; none of these have done adequate justice to the greatness of this Man. My tribute here would befall the same fate. Nevertheless, I shall try to pay tribute to G.A.R. -a tribute to the man I knew. G.A.R. was a humble man. He treated his students and junior staff as his equal. He talked...
