background:  ramsar, a northern city in iran, lies on the coast of the caspian sea. this city has areas with some of the highest levels of natural radiation measured to date. the radon concentration in some areas of ramsar is up to 3700 bq m–3. on the other hand, due to high level of humidity, damp-proof barriers should be used in construction of new buildings in radon prone areas of this city....

background: inhalation of radon and its short-lived decay products is one of the ‎most significant sources of exposure to natural radiation. radon is the second cause ‎of lung cancer in the populations. the present study was carried out under the projects of ‎national radon, with the aim of determining the concentration of indoor in the city of qom ‎located in the central semi-arid region of ir...

Physical and chemical agents in workplace environments can be hazardous for employees. Much of the exposure to ionizing radiation occur due presence radon workplace. Mining are more susceptible containing gas because it emanates from soil or rocks. Radon is known associated with lung cancer as a gaseous agent under normal conditions also radioactive. Since there little knowledge about Brazilian...

In this paper we prove existence results for some nonlinear degenerate elliptic equations with data in the space of bounded Radon measures and we improve the results already obtained in Cirmi G.R., On the existence of solutions to non-linear degenerate elliptic equations with measure data, Ricerche Mat. 42 (1993), no. 2, 315–329.

We prove the existence of a solution to the degenerate parabolic Cauchy problem with a possibly unbounded Radon measure as an initial data. To accomplish this, we establish a priori estimates and derive a compactness result. We also show that the result is optimal in the Euclidian setting.

If Ω is a bounded domain in R N , we study conditions on a Radon measure µ on ∂Ω for solving the equation −∆u + e u − 1 = 0 in Ω with u = µ on ∂Ω. The conditions are expressed in terms of Orlicz capacities.

We study the existence of optimal controls for problems governed by semilinear parabolic equations. The nonlinearities in the state equation need not be monotone and the data need not be regular. In particular, the control may be any bounded Radon measure. Our examples include problems with nonlinear boundary conditions and parabolic systems.

We study the property of divergence multivector fields on Banach manifolds with Radon measure. propose an infinite-dimensional version consistent classical from finite-dimensional differential geometry. Further, we transfer certain natural properties operator to setting. Finally, relation between divM a manifold M and divS submanifold S ⊂ M.

Building materials are significant contributor of indoor radon after the soil. The indoor radon level depends upon the radon flux coming out from wall, ceiling and roofs of the dwellings. The radon flux from the wall that in most cases is concrete depends upon many factors like radium content, porosity, moisture, composition of mix design for construction of concrete and age of concrete. The pr...

Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that originates from the decay of uranium in rocks and soils and is linked to some 13% of lung cancer cases in Ireland. Between 1992 and 1999, the Radiological Protection Institute of Ireland (RPII)1 carried out a National Radon Survey (NRS) of Ireland to identify the areas of the country most at risk from high indoor radon levels. Those areas wher...
