The main purpose of this paper is to introduce soft μ-compact soft generalized topological spaces as a generalization of compact spaces. A soft generalized topological space (FA,μ) is soft μ-compact if every soft μ-open soft cover of FA admits a finite soft sub cover. We characterize soft μ-compact space and study their basic properties.

Software agent is a very popular topic in computer science in the past few years. One of the promising applications of agent technology is shown in web applications. A tool for understanding, structuring, and defining agents becomes very important in order to release the power of this revolutionizing concept. This article surveys the definitions of agents and proposes an agent definition framew...

The knowledge management of genetic resources and traditional knowledge has become an urgent need since Indonesia has the second largest potential wealth of genetic resources in the world. Besides, there have been many researchers conducted related to that. However, the results of the studies are still managed by the research institutes and the researchers connected to the studies, and as the r...

This paper describes the development of a design method for designing CSCW systems. It is based on experience gained in the design of large CSCW systems characterized by a top level predefined process predefined but where the activities in each step of this process are carried out in a non predefined manner. The design method provides a systematic way of dealing with the large volumes of detail...

It is being recognised increasingly in the scientific literature that real world design problem solving is noo hierarchical, being characterised by a strategy, termed 'opportunism', whereby designers discover and/or adapt their problem solving goals and activities, in response to die state of the problem and the environment in which that problem exists. This paper explores the concept of opport...

Purpose: In this paper we discuss how managers use knowledge when making ICT investment decisions. ICT investments are complex processes and have also strategic implications for organizations. The focus of the study is to reveal how the organizational process of knowledge creation affects the individual-level decision making and how knowledge conversions between tacit and explicit knowledge occ...

This paper demonstrates how the soft systems methodology can be used to improve the delivery of a module in data warehousing for fourth year information technology students. Graduates in information technology needs to have academic skills but also needs to have good practical skills to meet the skills requirements of the information technology industry. In developing and improving current data...

We compute the master integrals containing one massive propagator entering the two-loop electroweak form factor, i.e. the process f ¯ f → X, where f ¯ f is an on-shell massless fermion pair and X is a singlet particle under SU (2) L × U (1) Y , such as a virtual gluon or an hypothetical Z ′. The method used is that of the differential equation in the evolution variable x = −s/m 2 , where s is t...

This paper focuses on the soft contact-based rigid object manipulation. First, a dynamic model of an object manipulation by two-fingered robot hand with soft fingertips is presented. In particular, we deal with a planar case to show certain valuable features in softfingertiped manipulation tasks. Next, in order to analyze the motion of using soft fingertips, a dynamic manipulation control schem...

In previous work we have developed the theory and demonstrated the promise of the Missing Data approach to robust Automatic Speech Recognition. This technique is based on hard decisions as to whether each time-frequency \pixel" is either reliable or unreliable. In this paper we replace these discrete decisions with soft estimates of the probability that each \pixel" is reliable. We adapt the pr...
