BACKGROUND Notch1 signaling is a cellular cascade with a fundamental role from brain development to adult brain function. Reduction in Notch1 affects synaptic plasticity, memory and olfaction. On the other hand, Notch1 overactivation after brain injury is detrimental for neuronal survival. Some familial Alzheimer's disease (FAD) mutations in Presenilins can affect Notch1 processing/activation. ...

Scanning tunneling microscope results showed that Au and Fe atoms were steamed on the Si (111)-(7 × 7) substrate surface, with or without step region. The experimental comparison proved induced effect of region is a controllable process, which CH3OH can adjust. In this paper, latest progress dynamic phenomenon discussed, including three deposition types: strong deposition, weak new quasi deposi...

BACKGROUND Urinary (U)-complement components have been detected in patients with proteinuric renal diseases, and complement activation via the alternative pathway (AP) is believed to play a role in renal tubular damage. The present study aimed to examine the regulation of complement AP activation in patients with renal tubular damage by focusing on the balance between properdin (P) and factor H...
