Applying the new concept of a Dempster-Shafer equilibrium to signalling games, we show that a pooling equilibrium is the unique equilibrium outcome. With strategic uncertainty, signalling productivity by education may no longer be feasible. EDUCATION SIGNALLING AND UNCERTAINTY

An evidential reasoning mechanism based on the Dempster-Shafer theory of evidence is introduced. Its performance in real-world image analysis is compared with other mechanisms based on the Bayesian formalism and a simple weight combination method.
