The rings considered in this article are  commutative  with identity which admit at least two  nonzero annihilating ideals. Let $R$ be a ring. Let $mathbb{A}(R)$ denote the set of all annihilating ideals of $R$ and let $mathbb{A}(R)^{*} = mathbb{A}(R)backslash {(0)}$. The annihilating-ideal graph of $R$, denoted by $mathbb{AG}(R)$  is an undirected simple graph whose vertex set is $mathbb{A}(R...

We study approximation of Boolean functions by low-degree polynomials over the ring Z/2kZ. More precisely, given a Boolean function F : {0, 1}n → {0, 1}, define its k-lift to be Fk : {0, 1}n → {0, 2k−1} by Fk(x) = 2k−F(x) (mod 2k). We consider the fractional agreement (which we refer to as γd,k(F)) of Fk with degree d polynomials from Z/2 Z[x1, . . . , xn]. Our results are the following: • Incr...

Abstract: In this paper, we study ZpZp[u]-additive codes, where p is prime and u 2 = 0. In particular, we determine a Gray map from ZpZp[u] to Z α+2β p and study generator and parity check matrices for these codes. We prove that a Gray map Φ is a distance preserving map from (ZpZp[u],Gray distance) to (Z α+2β p ,Hamming distance), it is a weight preserving map as well. Furthermore we study the ...

In this paper, we have studied cyclic codes over the ring R = Z4 +uZ4, u = 0. We have considered cyclic codes of odd lengths. A sufficient condition for a cyclic code over R to be a Z4-free module is presented. We have provided the general form of the generators of a cyclic code over R and determined a formula for the ranks of such codes. In this paper we have mainly focused on principally gene...

In this work, we study the structure of multivariable modular codes over finite chain rings when the ambient space is a principal ideal ring. We also provide some applications to additive modular codes over the finite field $\mathbb{F}_4$.

Descriptive set theory was originally developed on Polish spaces. It was later extended to $\omega$-continuous domains [Selivanov 2004] and recently to quasi-Polish spaces [de Brecht 2013]. All these spaces are countably-based. Extending descriptive set theory and its effective counterpart to general represented spaces, including non-countably-based spaces has been started in [Pauly, de Brecht ...

We study ultraproducts of finite residue rings $\underset{n\in\mathbb{N}}{\prod}\mathbb{Z}/n\mathbb{Z} \diagup \mathcal{U} $ where $\mathcal{U}$ is a non-principal ultrafilter. find sufficient conditions the ultrafilter to determine if resulting ultraproduct \mathcal{U}$ has simple, NIP, NTP2 but not simple nor or TP2 theory, noting that all these four cases occur.
