In this paper, we continue our study of non-supercuspidal discrete series for the classical groups Sp(2n, F ), SO(2n+ 1, F ), where F is p-adic.
In the previous part of this paper, we constructed a large family of Hecke algebras on some classical groups G de¢ned over p-adic ¢elds in order to understand their admissible representations. EachHecke algebra is associated to a pair JS; rSof an open compact subgroup JS and its irreducible representation rSwhich is constructed fromgiven dataS G;P0 0; R. Here, G is a semisimple element in...
Let G be a unitary, symplectic or special orthogonal group over a locally compact nonarchimedean local field of odd residual characteristic. We construct many new supercuspidal representations of G, and Bushnell-Kutzko types for these representations. Moreover, we prove that every irreducible supercuspidal representation of G arises from our constructions.
Let G n G_n denote either the group S p left-parenthesis 2 n comma upper F right-pa...
Herrlich showed that a Mumford curve of genus g > 1 over the p-adic complex field Cp has at most 48(g− 1), 24(g− 1), 30(g− 1) or 12(g− 1) automorphisms as p = 2, 3, 5 or p > 5. The Mumford curves attaining these bounds are uniformised by normal subgroups of finite index in certain p-adic triangle groups ∆p for p ≤ 5, or in a p-adic quadrangle group p for p > 5. The finite groups attaining these...
We first give bounds for domains where the unitarizabile subquotients can show up in the parabolically induced representations of classical $p$-adic groups. Roughly, they can show up only if the central character of the inducing irreducible cuspidal representation is dominated by the square root of the modular character of the minimal parabolic subgroup. For unitarizable subquotients...
