The analysis of the connections among generalized systems, Vector Optimization Problems and Variational Inequalities allows to deepen the study of the properties of the Minty Vector Variational Inequality. In particular, under suitable regularity assumptions, the equivalence between Minty Vector Variational Inequality and Stampacchia Vector Variational Inequality is shown.

The variational inequality problem (VIP) is considered here. We present a general algorithmic scheme which employs projections onto hyperplanes that separate balls from the feasible set of the VIP instead of projections onto the feasible set itself. Our algorithmic scheme includes the classical projection method and Fukushima's subgradient projection method as special cases.

We prove that the perpetual American put option price of level dependent volatility model with compound Poisson jumps is convex and is the classical solution of its associated quasi-variational inequality, that it is C except at the stopping boundary and that it is C everywhere (i.e. the smooth pasting condition always holds).

A class of Crouzeix-Raviart type nonconforming finite element methods are proposed for the parabolic variational inequality problem with moving grid on anisotropic meshes. By using some novel approaches and techniques, the same optimal error estimates are obtained as the traditional ones. It is shown that the classical regularity condition or quasi-uniform assumption on meshes is not necessary ...

The two-level penalty finite element methods for Navier-Stokes equations with nonlinear slip boundary conditions are investigated in this paper, whose variational formulation is the Navier-Stokes type variational inequality problem of the second kind. The basic idea is to solve the Navier-Stokes type variational inequality problem on a coarse mesh with mesh size H in combining with solving a St...

We propose easily implementable algorithms for minimizing the norm with pseudomonotone variational inequality constraints. This bilevel problem arises in the Tikhonov regularization method for pseudomonone variational inequalities. Since the solution set of the lower variational inequality is not given explicitly, the available methods of mathematical programming and variational inequality can ...

The solvability of the generalized weak vector implicit variational inequality problem, generalized strong vector implicit variational inequality problem and generalized vector variational inequality problem are proved by using a generalized Fan’s KKM theorem. Our results extend and unify corresponding results of other authors.

In this paper, we establish an existence result of the solution for an generalized strong vector variational inequality already considered in the literature and as applications we obtain a new coincidence point theorem in Hilbert spaces.

We consider a vector variational inequality in a finite-dimensional space. A new gap function is proposed, and an equivalent optimization problem for the vector variational inequality is also provided. Under some suitable conditions, we prove that the gap function is directionally differentiable and that any point satisfying the first-order necessary optimality condition for the equivalent opti...
