We present ac-dc transfer standard measurements using the NIST pulse-driven ac Josephson voltage standard source. We have investigated the frequency dependence for several output voltages up to 200 mV for frequencies from 2.5 kHz to 100 kHz. We found that as the frequency increases, the ac-dc differences for the two arrays on the same chip do not agree. We investigated different attempts of imp...

An analogue adaptive filter for dynamic response compensation of a load cell sensor is presented. The filter employs only transistors and therefore it can be integrated using standard digital CMOS technology, which is suitable for System-on-Chip applications. To perform adaptive compensation over a wide range of measurand, a novel CMOS multiplier circuit was developed. The analogue adaptive fil...

OBJECTIVE We examined the difference of the effect by data to revise a gamma camera difference. The difference-correction method of the camera is incorporated in eZIS analysis. METHODS We acquired single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) data from the three-dimensional (3D) Hoffman brain phantom (Hoffman), the three-dimensional brain phantom (3D-Brain), Pool phantom (pool) and from ...

Blur Edge Time has been shown to be a reasonable metric for characterisation of motion blur of LCD displays. It can be estimated by taking the 10% to 90% level of the Moving Edge Temporal Profile or by using the standard deviation of a fitted cumulative Gaussian function. In this paper we will compare these two ways of estimating the Blur Edge Time. Ultimately the usefulness of these metrics of...

According to Schopenhauer's compensation argument for pessimism, the non-existence of world is preferable its existence because no goods can ever compensate mere evil. Standard interpretations take this be based on thesis that all are merely negation evils, from which they assume it follows apparent in life fact empty and without value. This article develops a non-standard variant standard inte...

In this paper we will propose a simple modification of standard homomorphic filtering technique and thus significantly improve face recognition performance on images with difficult illumination conditions. We will also give a detailed theoretical description of a homomorphic filter and compare our proposed method to common illumination compensation techniques used in face recognition literature...

A new motion-compensated frame interpolation scheme for low bitrate video based on the ITU-T H.263/H.263+ standard is investigated in this research. The proposed scheme works solely on the decoded bitstream with a blockbased approach to achieve interpolation results. It is composed of two main modules: the background/foreground segmentation module and the hybrid motion compensated frame interpo...

This paper presents a novel flexible control strategy for Unified Power Quality Conditioner (UPQC), which achieves more flexibility in compensation of power quality disturbances as compared to the existing methods. The proposed control strategy provides priority-based compensation as well as full and standard-based compensation considering the rating of series and shunt parts of a UPQC. The pri...

Efficient reflection grisms for pulse-compression and material-dispersion compensation have been designed and demonstrated in a 40 fs, 300 microJ, 5 kHz downchirped pulse amplification system for the first time to our knowledge. A grism design for 800 nm femtosecond laser pulse dispersion compensation applications is realized by using standard, commercial diffraction gratings.
