In this research, we have developed the data driven computational walking model to overcome the problem with traditional kinematics based model. Our model is adaptable and can adjust the parameter morphological similar to human. The human walk is a combination of different discrete sub-phases with their continuous dynamics. Any system which exhibits the discrete switching logic and continuous d...

Amputees using passive ankle-foot prostheses tend to expend more metabolic energy during walking than non-amputees, and reducing this cost has been a central motivation for the development of active ankle-foot prostheses. Increased push-off work at the end of stance has been proposed as a way to reduce metabolic energy use, but the effects of push-off work have not been tested in isolation. In ...

The cost scaling push-relabel method has been shown to be efficient for solving minimum-cost flow problems. In this paper we apply the method to the assignment problem and investigate implementations of the method that take advantage of assignment's special structure. The results show that the method is very promising for practical use.

Client-server databases that require query results to be up-to-date despite storing data that changes dynamically suffer from heavy communication costs. Client-side caching can help mitigate these costs, particularly when individual PUSH-PULL decisions are made for the different semantic regions in the data space. In the PUSH regions the server notifies the client about updates, and in the PULL...

This paper investigates the pricing and production game in a decentralized assembly system that consists of one assembler and two independent suppliers. One supplier is able to exert the push contract on the assembler so as to transfer all his inventory risk, while the other supplier has to accept the pull contract from the assembler and consequently bears the overstock risk. Under this hybrid ...

In human walking, each transition to a new stance limb requires redirection of the center of mass (COM) velocity from one inverted pendulum arc to the next. While this can be accomplished with either negative collision work by the leading limb, positive push-off work by the trailing limb, or some combination of the two, physics-based models of step-to-step transitions predict that total positiv...

This paper presents an advanced and extensive utilization approach of microwave resonant fields, and the applications to push-push oscillators and reconfigurable planar antennas. The excellent coherency, synchronous harmonics and the degenerative orthogonal modes of electromagnetic field built up on microwave resonators are noticeable features in this approach. Another crucial point is the reso...
