Revision of a description logic-based ontology deals with the problem of incorporating newly received information consistently. In this paper, we propose a general operator for revising terminologies in description logic-based ontologies. Our revision operator relies on a reformulation of the kernel contraction operator in belief revision. We first define our revision operator for terminologies...

interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets (ivifss) are widely used to handle uncertainty and imprecision in decision making. however, in more complicated environment, it is difficult to express the uncertain information by an ivifs with considering the decision-making preference. hence, this paper proposes a group generalized interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy soft set (g-givifss) which conta...

We study the adjointness problem for the closed extensions of a general b-elliptic operator A ∈ x Diffmb (M ;E), ν > 0, initially defined as an unbounded operator A : C∞ c (M ;E) ⊂ x L b (M ;E) → xL b (M ;E), μ ∈ R. The case where A is a symmetric semibounded operator is of particular interest, and we give a complete description of the domain of the Friedrichs extension of such an operator.

We study the structure of a class of weighted Toeplitz operators and obtain a description of the commutant of each operator in this class. We make some progress towards proving that the only operator in the commutant which is not a scalar multiple of the identity operator and which commutes with a nonzero compact operator is zero. The proof of the main statement relies on a conjecture which is ...

The research in the domain of knowledge representation and reasoning has always concentrated on the methods that give a good description in the domain where they are able to be used to construct intelligent applications. Description Logics are a family of languages of knowledge representation which can be used to represent knowledge of a field of applications by clear, formal and structured mea...

The antilinear operator representation of bipartite pure states of the relative state formulation of quantum mechanics is applied to describe quantum teleportation schemes utilizing an arbitrary pure state as the entangled resource. Bennett type teleportation schemes with nonmaximally entangled pure states are characterized and the notion of ‘entanglement matching’ is introduced in general. Exa...

We write the Hamiltonian of the Bose gas with two-body repulsive δ-function potential in a pseudoparticle operator basis which diagonalizes the problem via the Bethe ansatz. In this operator basis the original bosonic interactions are represented by zero-momentum forward-scattering interactions between Landau-liquid pseudoparticles. We find that this pseudoparticle operator algebra is complete:...

During the last few years the Floquet matrix approach to the theory of intense-eld multiphoton dissociation processes has undergone 1 a revival of interest which is due to the emergence of new powerful algorithms within the complex quasivibrational energy formalism. The method presented here shows that the Bloch wave operator theory is, in the framework of this theory, an eecient tool to select...
