Piperine activates TRPV1 (transient receptor potential vanilloid type 1 receptor) receptors and modulates γ-aminobutyric acid type A receptors (GABAAR). We have synthesized a library of 76 piperine analogues and analyzed their effects on GABAAR by means of a two-microelectrode voltage-clamp technique. GABAAR were expressed in Xenopus laevis oocytes. Structure-activity relationships (SARs) were ...
The construction and electrochemical response characteristics of poly(vinyl chloride) matrix ion-selective electrodes (ISEs) for dextromethorphan (DXM) hydrobromide are described. The membranes incorporate ion-association complexes of DXM with reineckate salt {[Cr(NH3)2(SCN)4]NH4} or phosphomolybdic acid [H3(PMo12O40)], as electroactive materials and dioctylphthalate or dibutylsebacate as a pla...
Construction and characterization of potentiometric membrane sensors for quantification of diclofenac and warfarin drugs are described. The membranes of the sensors incorporate 1.8 wt.% iron(II)-phthalocyanine (Pc) as a molecular recognition reagent, 64.3 wt.% dibutylsebacate (DBS) solvent mediator, 1.8 wt.% tridodecylmethylammonium chloride (TDMAC) as membrane additive and 32.1 wt.% poly(vinyl...
Synthesis of novel aliphatic biodegradable copolyesters namely Poly (ethylene sebacateco-butylene succinate) and Poly (ethylene sebacate-co-butylene adipate) were carried out using Poly (butylene Succinate), Poly (Butylene Adipate) and Poly (Ethylene Sebacate) in presence of Poly Phosphoric acid. Synthesis of Poly (Butylene Succinate), Poly (Butylene Adipate) and Poly (Ethylene Sebacate) were c...
In this study, Damar Batu (DB) − a novel biomaterial− is evaluated for its potential application in pharmaceutical coating. DB is a whitish to yellowish resin, characterized initially in terms of solubility, acid value, molecular weight (Mw), polydispersity index (Mw/Mn) and glass transition temperature (Tg). Neat plasticized films of DB are investigated for mechanical, water vapor transmission...

Two cathepsin B inhibitors were isolated from the culture supernatant of a marine Pseudomonas sp. PB01 (GenBank Accession No. EU126129). Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic analyses as dibutyl phthalate and di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate. Both dibutyl phthalate and di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate showed dose-dependent cathepsin B inhibitions with IC(50) of 0.42 and 0.38 mM, respectively....
In the title compound, [Co(C10H16O4)] n , the Co(II) atom is bonded in a slightly distorted tetra-hedral environment by four O atoms from the bridging sebacate dications, comprising two separate half-ligands which lie across crystallographic inversion centres. In the three-dimensional network coordination polymer, there are two different spatial extensions of Co(II) atoms, one with the Co(II) a...
In the present work, vinyl benzyl chloride (VBC) was polymerized by using free radical polymerization. The obtained PVBC reacted with dibutyl amine to obtain tertiary modified polystyrene based polymer (PVBC-Dibutyl amine). inverse gas chromatography (IGC) method used examine thermodynamic properties of polymer. Firstly, retention diagrams some polar and non-polar solvents on PVBC-Dibutyl were ...
