In this paper the latest techniques for validation of anechoic chambers are described. The Short Dipole Site Validation Method (SDSV) is based on the use of the CISPR 16 dipole in an expanded, non-resonant frequency range. The SDSV idea is great as it combines advantages of the Site Reference method (direct comparison of two site attenuations, no antenna factors involved, quasi-swept frequency ...

This paper introduces a novel variation of the vee dipole antenna consisting of two coplanar vee dipoles with a common feed point. It is referred to as a double-vee dipole. Radiation characteristics of the double-vee dipole antenna are investigated numerically and experimentally. It is shown that the double-vee dipole can provide significantly higher directivity and lower sidelobes and back rad...

In this paper, we investigate and compare two different antenna types for UHF SATCOM applications; proposed Moxon type (bent dipole) and conventional egg beater (loop) antennas in terms of antenna performance and physical size. Bent dipole and egg beater antennas are simulated using HFSS software. Prototype antenna for Moxon type is also fabricated and measured for its return loss using Agilent...

A folded loop antenna for handsets has already been introduced and shown as one of balanced feed antennas for handsets, which is very effective to mitigate the antenna performance degradation due to the body effect. In addition, to be lower profile of folded loop antenna, Built-in folded dipole antenna, which has a structure folded loop elements sideway so that the antenna can be placed on the ...

This paper presents a low profile dual polarized directional antenna composed of loop and dipole arrays mounted on a ground plane with each loops and dipoles being fed independently. Each loop antenna is paired with a reflector while each dipole antenna is paired with a director and a reflector. The proposed antenna is intended for an indoor base station (BS) with resonance frequency of 2.4 GHz...

This paper presents the design of a calculable standard dipole antenna with a hybrid balun in the frequency range of 1 GHz to 3 GHz. A new formula of an antenna factor is derived by using the power mismatch-loss concept. The antenna factors derived in this paper are in good agreement with the results calculated from S-parameters. The design results show that the calculable dipole antenna with a...

RFID is very challenging area in today’s world. The basic elements of RFID system are reader and tag. The main element of the RFID system is TAG antenna. Most of the UHF RFID tags have to be connected to very small objects so it is essential that the tag antenna should be miniaturized without degrading the radiation efficiency. There are various techniques to miniaturize antenna means reduce th...

In this paper, a compact multiband printed dipole antenna is presented as a candidate for use in wireless communication applications. The proposed fractal antenna design is based on the second level tent transformation. The space-filling property of this fractal geometry permits producing longer lengths in a more compact size. Theoretical performance of this antenna has been calculated using th...

We discuss the transition radiation of a neutrino induced by its toroid dipole moment (τ) when crossing the interface between two different media with different refraction indices. A neutrino of 1 MeV energy emits approximately 10−40 keV at τ = e √ 2GF /π 2. This effect depends very slightly on the neutrino mass and has a finite value in the massless limit.

A novel compact CPW-fed printed dipole antenna is proposed for dual-band Ultra wide band (UHF) RFID and wireless local area network (WLAN) operations. This antenna consist of two dipole elements and it covers 2.53 GHz Ultra High Frequency (UHF) RFID and 5.2 GHZ WLAN IEEE 802.11 Standards. The return loss, radiation pattern, field pattern, linear and circular polarization components are simulate...
