The eccrine poroma or Hidracanthoma Simplex is a rare benign adnexal tumor of ephitelial cells, with an incidence of 0.001 to 0.008%1. In two-thirds of the patients it appears on the soles and lateral borders of the feet. We report the case of a patient with pigmented eccrine poroma in abdominal skin, of a rare entity presentation with a single report in the literature in that location.
Eccrine Porocarcinoma (ECP) is a malignant tumour arising from the intraepithelial ductal parts of the sweat gland. It has also been described as malignant hidroacanthoma simplex, sweat gland carcinoma, malignant intra-epidermal eccrine poroma, eccrine poroepithelioma, dysplastic poroma, malignant syringo acanthoma and porocarcinoma. Treatment with wide local excision but metastatic lesions can...
Eccrine poroma can mimic benign and malignant melanocytic and non-melanocytic lesions. To date, little is known about the dermoscopic features of this condition. Seven histopathologically proven cases of eccrine poroma were examined using dermoscopy by three independent dermatologists. Both glomerular and hairpin vessels were observed in 71% of cases, whereas linear irregular vessels were obser...
Eccrine Poroma is a rare benign adnexal tumor. It presents the problem of differential diagnosis with several entities. Dermoscopic features are suggestive and may guide diagnosis. We report new observation. A 44-year-old woman, presented an asymptomatic lesion on dorsal side left foot for 2 years. Clinically nodule was brownish, well delimited superficial erosions, firm palpation. Dermoscopy s...
Background: Non pigmented eccrine poroma is a benign tumor that can have dermoscopic features mimicking malign neoplasias. The characteristic vascular pattern of this tumor hasn’t been established. We found a scarcely reported vascular pattern, which can be useful to distinguish this tumor from malignant ones and propose a new nomenclature to these vessels due their similarity with the common c...

Eccrine porocarcinoma is a rare neoplasm that originates from the intraepidermal ductal portion of the eccrine sweat gland, and it usually occurs on the pre-existing lesion of benign eccine poroma. Its occurrence is more common in females and elderly persons. We present a case of a 44-year-old man who suffered from eccrine porocarcinoma, which developed on the right scrotum and pelvic area with...
Reticulated acanthoma with sebaceous differentiation (RASD) is a rare, benign cutaneous tumor with peculiar histopathologic characteristics [1]. RASD had been described under various synonyms such as superficial epithelioma with sebaceous differentiation, sebocrine adenoma, poroma with sebaceous differentiation, and seborrheic keratosis with sebaceous differentiation [2]. Clinical differential ...
Eccrine porocarcinoma is a rare malignancy of the eccrine sweat gland. It is usually found frequently on the lower extremities, and it affects both sexes equally usually in the sixth to seventh decade. In our case, we present a 42-year-old male patient with a recurring exophytic tumor on the right lower extremity without local extension. The initial tumor was biopsied, excised and diagnosed as ...
