A symptomless 42 year old man with a smoking history of 40 pack-years presented with a solitary pulmonary nodule highly suggestive of lung cancer. Wedge resection proved it to be an eosinophilic granuloma. No other localizations of eosinophilic granuloma were found, and none developed during a 3 yr follow-up.
Eosinophilic granuloma is most common in children. In this paper we describe two children with a history of local swelling and pain in the humeral area who showed pathological fracture of the humerus. Needle biopsies confirmed the diagnosis of eosinophilic granuloma. Surgical procedures were performed in both patients. Both patients showed total remission after wide resection combined with segm...

She presented with a 2-month history of low back pain without neurological deficits. Plain radiographs showed a lytic lesion...
INTRODUCTION Synchronous composite tumors are uncommon. Simultaneous, rather than metachronous or consecutive, occurrences of eosinophilic granuloma and Hodgkin's lymphoma in children are very rare. This is the first report of this kind in the medical literature. CASE PRESENTATION We report the case of a 12-year-old Iranian boy with eosinophilic granuloma localized in his leg around the knee ...

REPORTS on intra-orbital tumours and causes of exophthalmos do not mention the disease entity ofeosinophilic granuloma first described by Lichtenstein and Jaffe (1940). Pfeiffer (1943), in reviewing 200 successive cases of exophthalmos, enumerated 31 different lesions, among which eosinophilic granuloma of the orbit was not listed. Forest (1949) reported on 222 cases of intra-orbital tumours co...
A patient with eosinophilic granuloma, histologically confirmed from open lung biopsy specimen, had a history of scarlet fever and a prominently high level of circulating gamma/delta T cells (25 percent) in comparison with normal levels (< 10 percent). Despite steroid therapy, the levels were persistently high. To our knowledge, this is the first report of an increased level of circulating gamm...
Eosinophilic granuloma is an uncommon condition that is characterized by unifocal or multifocal osteolytic lesions that often affect the skull. Unilateral lesions of the temporal bone are not uncommon, but bilateral temporal bone lesions are rare. In fact, to the best of our knowledge, fewer than 20 such cases have been reported during the past 40 years. We report a new case of bilateral tempor...
