In fuzzy logic in wider sense t norms got a prominent r ole in recent times In many valued logic the Lukasiewicz systems the G odel sytems and also the product logic are t norm based The present paper discusses the more general problem of the adequate axiomatizability for such t norm based logical systems in general survey ing results of the last years
In [3], Keisler proves that if Q1 is a nonstandard model of the complete theory Th(Q) of (Q;+;×; 0; 1) and C1 is the algebraic closure of Q1, then (C1; Q1) is elementarily equivalent to (C;Q) where C is the algebraic closure of Q. But if Q r 1 is the real closure of Q1 and Qr the real closure of Q, then it is observed in [1] that (Q r 1; Q1) ≡(Qr ;Q). Victor Harnik asked the following question:...
Intuitionistic propositional logic Int and its extensions, known as intermediate or superintuitionistic logics, in many respects can be regarded just as fragments of classical modal logics containing S4. At the syntactical level, the Godel translation t embeds every intermediate logic L = Int+ into modal logics in the interval L = [ L = S4 t( ); L = Grz t( )]. Semantically this is re ected by ...
A bstract In this paper, w e present a m ethod for recognition of hu m an activity as a series of actions from an im age sequ ence. T he diffi cu lty w ith the problem is that there is a chicken-egg dilem m a that each action needs to be extracted in advance for its recognition bu t the precise extraction is only possible after the action is correctly identifi ed. In order to solve this dilem m...
The land surface freeze-thaw (F/T) state plays a key role in the hydrological and carbon cycles and thus affects water and energy exchanges and vegetation productivity at the land surface. In this study, an F/T assimilation algorithm was developed for the NA SA G oddard E arth Observing System, version 5 (GEOS-5), modeling and assimilation framework. The algorithm includes a newly developed obs...
Let $mathcal{A}$ be a Banach algebra with BAI and $E$ be an introverted subspace of $mathcal{A}^prime$. In this paper we study the quotient Arens regularity of $mathcal{A}$ with respect to $E$ and prove that the group algebra $L^1(G)$ for a locally compact group $G$, is quotient Arens regular with respect to certain introverted subspace $E$ of $L^infty(G)$. Some related result are given as well.
In 1933 Godel introduced a modal logic of provability (S4) and left open the problem of a formal provability semantics for this logic. Since then numerous attempts have been made to give an adequate provability semantics to Godel's provability logic with only partial success. In this paper we give the complete solution to this problem in the Logic of Proofs (LP). LP implements Godel's sugges...
let g be a locally compact group, and let ω be a weight on g. we show that the weightedmeasure algebra m(g,ω) is amenable if and only if g is a discrete, amenable group andsup{ω(g) ω(g−1) : g ∈ g} < ∞, where ω(g) ≥ 1 (g ∈ g) .
let $mathcal{a}$ be a banach algebra with bai and $e$ be an introverted subspace of $mathcal{a'}$.in this paper we study the quotient arens regularity of $mathcal{a}$ with respect to $e$ and prove that the group algebra $l^1(g)$ for a locally compact group $g$, is quotient arens regular with respect to certain introverted subspace $e$ of $l^infty(g)$.some related result are given as well.
Many frameworks have been proposed for deriving speciic runtime properties, but there is still a lack of knowledge about how they all t together. To ll this gap, we discuss various kinds of type information and the relations between them, and sketch a method for obtaining the required information. This method is used as part of an system for automatic translation of Prolog programs into strongl...
