this study setout to investigate the effect of wheat residue, tillage, and nitrogen fertilizer management on some agronomic traits of soybean as a split split plot based on randomized complete block design with three replications. the main plots included wheat residue management: collecting and leaving residue and sub plot included tillage (without tillage and conventional tillage), and the sub...
Results on annealed nickel show that the total number of counts of both magnetic and acoustic Barkhausen signals vary inversely with grain size. In decarburized steels the total number of counts and the amplitude of both Barkhausen signals increase in proportion to grain size. The paper addresses these results in context of grain size, grain‐boundary segregation, and precipitate effect.
to evaluate the effect of zn sulfate foliar application on morphologic and quantitative characteristics of safflower (carthamus tinctorius l.) cultivars, a field experiment carried out in ramin agriculture and natural resources university of khouzestan, iran, in a factorial arrangement in a randomized complete block design with four replications, during 2012-2013. treatments consisted of two sp...
Facilitate the selection procedure to improve performance of new genotypes of rice is essential. In present study in order to evaluate relationship between grain yields with other agronomic traits, a global rice collection including 100 accessions was seeded in an incomplete block design (triple lattice 10×10). Afterward, grain yield and 14 morphological traits were evaluated. Correlation coeff...
The beneficial effect of boron on the mechanical properties of austenitic stainless steels is well documented [1, 2]. A number of studies have confirmed that boron segregates to grain boundaries, in a variety of steels and nickel-base alloys (for example, [3, 4, 5]). Segregation of boron is known to occur via two mechanisms (for example, [1]): Equilibrium segregation is caused by the high bindi...
The reasons for the relatively low transport mobility of graphene grown through chemical vapor deposition (CVD-G), which include point defect, surface contamination, and line defect, were analyzed in the current study. A series of control experiments demonstrated that the determinant factor for the low transport mobility of CVD-G did not arise from point defects or surface contaminations, but s...
Plastic film mulching (PM) is widely utilized for maize production in China. However, the effect of PM on the grain yield of crops has not been established, and the biochemical mechanism underlying the increase or decrease in grain yield under PM is not yet understood. Grain filling markedly affects the grain yield. The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of PM on maize grain...
A research program has been established to study ion beam enhanced grain growth (IBEGG). Ion beam enhanced grain growth has been studied experimentally in Ge, Au and Si films. IBEGG has been characterized by varying the ion dose, ion energy, ion flux, ion species, temperature, and thin film deposition onrditions. The effect of these parameters on grain size and microstructure has Leen analyzed ...
The effects of dwarfing alleles (reduced height, Rht) in near isogenic lines on wheat grain quality are characterised in field experiments and related to effects on crop height, grain yield and GA-sensitivity. Alleles included those that conferred GA-insensitivity (Rht-B1b, Rht-B1c, Rht-D1b, Rht-D1c) as well as those that retained GA-sensitivity (rht(tall), Rht8, Rht8 + Ppd-D1a, Rht12). Full ch...
The effect of the grain size on the effective carrier mobility (μeff) and transfer characteristics of a polycrystalline silicon thin-film transistor (poly-Si TFT) have been theoretically investigated by developing an analytical model. The dependence of μeff is studied as a function of doping concentrations and gate voltage for different values of grain size. It is observed that at low as well a...
